Wes Wells has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and has co-founded numerous business entities, including two strategic platforms within CB Richard Ellis (“CBRE”), namely CBRE Recovery & Restructuring Services and CBRE Capital Advisors (CBRE’s investment banking and broker/dealer platform). Both of these companies were created to address the needs of CBRE’s largest institutional clients by transaction volume. Prior to founding Vandever Capital, Mr. Wells served as Head of Capital Markets for Amherst Residential, LLC, the single-family rental funds managed by Amherst Holdings, LLC. During his tenure, Amherst Residential completed ~$3.1 billion in single-family rental transactions, in addition to Amherst’s inaugural ~$489 million securitization (AMSR 2016-SFR1), and a $295 million dollar joint venture with a top-10 (by AUM) private equity firm seeking exposure to the sector.
Mr. Wells’ investment banking career also includes ~$1 billion in equity recapitalizations for financial institutions seeking a third-party capital infusion in conjunction with a sale of distressed assets.
Over his career, Mr. Wells has earned his Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, secured the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation for commercial real estate professionals, sat on the Board of Economic Advisors for the International Council of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”), and co-authored a whitepaper entitled “Myths and Realities of Investing in Distressed Commercial Real Estate” with CBRE’s Global Chief Economist.

MANAGING DIRECTOR – NEW YORK
Orion Corcilius serves as Managing Director at Vandever Capital based in NYC. Mr. Corcilius directly sources and manages client relationships, and is responsible for the firm’s financial modeling efforts, project-level capitalization strategies and transaction execution.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience and collaboration across different facets of the real estate industry, Mr. Corcilius has a proven track record in market intelligence, acquisitions, development, operations, asset management, financial modeling and capital markets. While versed in all commercial real estate asset classes, he has notable expertise in hospitality, residential, and mixed-used developments, having worked globally on projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion in value.
Prior to joining Vandever Capital, Mr. Corcilius was based in NYC as a Managing Director at Ankura Real Estate Advisory (“AREA”). Earlier in his career, he was a senior financial analyst at a capital-markets advisory firm, a development manager for the hospitality division of a private developer, and an operations analyst to the regional managing director of an upscale hotel brand and management company.
Mr. Corcilius holds a Security Industry Essentials (SIE) certification from FINRA and is a recipient of all three Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, an international leadership in action program that rewarded his “progressive nature, leadership skills and outdoor proficiency”. He received a dual MBA with Distinction from Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and Queen’s University Smith Graduate School of Business. Mr. Corcilius holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration where he concentrated in Strategic Management, Operations and Entrepreneurship.

Rachel Saldana serves as general counsel for Vandever Capital, LLC. In this role she collaborates with professionals, both internal and external, to create a seamless approach for the company to capitalize on promising opportunities while navigating risks.
A native Texan, Mrs. Saldana graduated from Texas A&M University magna cum laude prior to completing her legal studies at Harvard Law School. Since attaining her Juris Doctorate in 2004, she has worked at large international law firms, as well as focused boutiques. Historically, her clientele has ranged from international corporations to local businesses engaged in a broad spectrum of industries. This diversified practice has afforded her an appreciation of the complex nature of business interests, and the value of collaboration and creative strategizing.
Mrs. Saldana presently serves as President of Austin’s chapter of the Harvard Law School Association. In her spare time she enjoys running, cooking, reading, and entertaining her two pet Vizslas, Petrus and Isla.
